The Activity page: your process instances' log
Where My tasks lists what you have to do, Activity tells what has just happened: a comment added, a task edited, a task assigned to you.
What is Activity for?
It saves you from chasing colleagues to find out where things stand: at a glance, you see the recent events on the process instances that concern you, from the newest to the oldest. A process instance concerns you if you started it or if you have a part in one of its tasks: a task to do, a review, being an email recipient, attending a meeting… directly or through a group.
Only what other people do is told: your own actions (your comments, your saves…) do not appear, since you already know about them.

2 recent events, newest firstReading the log
The heading shows the number of events ("4 recent events, newest first"): the most recent ones are at the top. Each row contains:
| Column | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Icon | The nature of the event (hover it to read it). |
| Process instance | The process instance concerned: click its name to open it. |
| Task | A sentence with the person's avatar and name, then the task concerned, the comment if any, and when it happened ("5 minutes ago", "yesterday"…). The possible verbs: added the task (task created), assigned you the task (task given to you), commented on the task (comment), edited the task (edit: the Changed: … line lists the fields that changed), sent the task (email or meeting sent), asked for a review of the task, accepted the review of the task and rejected the review of the task (review requested, accepted or rejected, with its comment). |
| Due date | The due date of the task concerned. |
| Status | The current state of that task. |
Filter and search
As in My tasks, four chips — All Overdue Today Upcoming — filter by due date and show their counter. The Search activity box searches process instance names, people and task names, and comments.
If nothing matches, the message "No activity matches your filters." is displayed. With no events at all, you will see "No activity to display."
My tasks or Activity?

| Content | Your assigned tasks | Recent events |
| On click | Opens the task to handle | Opens the task concerned (the process instance name opens the process instance) |
| Use | In the morning, to plan | During the day, to keep track |
Tips
- Within a process instance, each task also has its own history and its activities panel (created, sent, review requested / accepted / rejected): useful for the detail of a single task.
- To reply to a comment, click its row: the task opens, with its comments.
- The log shows the most recent events (a few dozen): to find the full story of a task, open it.
- Events in red (overdue) deserve a follow-up: you can see who is concerned.
Permissions
The Activity page only appears if you have the View activity permission (the Viewer role has it).
